It’s an appealing alternative for getting an analogue sound “in the box”, for example by letting you track and produce in your favourite DAW of choice then import the stems into Mixbus 32C for summing and final mixdown. However, Mixbus32C is fairly unique in that the analog console is integrated into the DAW itself, emulating the exact workflow and sound quality of a Harrison mixing console while presenting modern DAW flexibility. It must be a little tough for Harrison to compete with the vast choice of analog-sounding plug-ins on the market. In the meantime, Harrison is at work on updating the regular Mixbus to version 5, but a release date has not been set.
